Hey, it’s Captain Matt again with Barefoot Lighting.
I hope you enjoyed the first video on what to expect in your color-changing soffit light appointment.
Today I wanted to quickly discuss the timeline and installation and go over some frequently asked questions.
When will your lights be installed is always a major question and a pretty valid one at that. I tell everyone to expect 4-6 weeks from the day we receive your payment to the installation being complete. I always push to have all jobs completed as fast as possible though, so if we have your product in stock ready to go and a spot opens up sooner in our schedule I send a crew then.
Believe it or not, most of our installations can actually be completed in just a day or two. Although of course, it depends on the size of the home or business and some other factors like if you have wood soffits or siding or a bee infestation. When we meet with you on the day of your appointment we will be able to give you a more accurate length of time that your installation will take.
A lot of people get worried about what the installation will look like during the day. The good news is that it is virtually invisible, yes you will notice it because it’s your home but most people will never even know you have lights on your soffit unless they are on. We also do everything we can to hide the wires to the best of our ability and based on your home. We use loom in black or white where we can’t put a track or hide the wires in a J Channel or siding, which really just ends in a very clean-looking installation. My install teams should also be sweeping or blowing off your walks ways when they are done for the day and cleaning up after the job is complete. But if they missed anything please call or text me right away and let me know so I can send someone back to finish what they missed.
Now when we design your new lighting system, each area will all be tied into a transformer that we provide. That transformer will be plugged into an outlet on the exterior of your home. If you don’t already know where one is or don’t know if you have one, don’t worry, we will make sure we find one or help you get one installed by our licensed electrician when we show up for our design appointment.
With each of our transformers they are connected to your wifi to make it super easy to schedule your lights on and off without thought, and easy to turn back on if your night is going longer than you expected. The timers are astronomical which means you don’t have to adjust for daylight savings and they auto-adjust on a daily basis. They also have a memory backup which means you don’t have to reset or reprogram the lights every time the power goes out. We try to make our lighting systems as maintenance-free as possible so you can just enjoy your lights every single night.
Ok, that’s all for now. Be sure to check your email tomorrow for my last video where I discuss pricing and how to decide what’s best for you.
